Colored &
stamped concrete is concrete
that is patterned, textured
and stained to resemble
brick, slate, flagstone,
natural stone, tile and
even wood. And
due to it's very low cost,
compared to some of these
materials, stamped concrete
is rapidly becoming a very
popular choice for homeowners
and developers alike. |
We have a very
wide verity of patterns
and colors that we can install
to beautify pool
decks, driveways, entryways,
courtyards, sidewalks and
patios. Here are
just a few samples for you
to look at and get some
ideas. Please feel free

| Colors
and patterns for stamped concrete are
often chosen to blend with other stone
or tile elements at the residence.
Designs incorporating steps, courtyards,
and built-in grills can be achieved. Stamped
concrete can also be blended with other
decorative concrete elements such as exposed
aggregate finishes and acid-etch staining.
Stamped concrete is also very cost effective
as it is usually 1/3 less the
price of installing natural materials.

The
base color is actaully mixed into
the cement mix, so the concrete
itself is colorized below the
suface. So, like stucco, color
is perminent and when maintained
properly, does not need to be
re-colorized periodically. After
installing and stamping the colored
concrete we can then apply stains
and/or acid treatments to attain
the desired effect.
Does
Colored Concrete Fade?
Cleaning
and sealing colored and stamped
concrete should be done on a regular
basis just like any other home
maintenance. The frequency will
depend on exposure to foot and
vehicle traffic, sunlight, water
and other chemicals.
We recommend resealing every 2
or 3 years. If you wait longer,
you may notice the color fade
slightly. But just like waxing
a car, when you reseal your stamped
concrete, the color will be as
vibrant as the day it was first
installed. If color fades,
there are ways to renew it, but
keeping it sealed is your best
defense.
